In depth

Verdict

Ripp Orf was narrowly beaten over track and trip on his return from a lengthy absence but has to give weight to the younger PAPA STOUR. Rated 82, the latter won a handicap at Wolverhampton last month and should also have the measure of the less exposed pair Michael Corleone and Tribal Warrior. Night Castle is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Heavy Metal and the Godolphin gelding is worth noting along with fellow newcomer Setting Sun.
