COMPTON BLUE has yet to win this season but it's not from lack of trying and, after going close on the turf in his last two starts, can take advantage of this drop in class. Princess Lexi has so far proved best on the turf hence today's 12lb lower mark, but Pearl Opera scored at this track in August and is only 3lb higher today. Gazboolou has been thereabouts over shorter trips recently and can get involved, while Woolston Ferry went close at Wolverhampton on his latest start and is another to consider.
