        Verdict

        Not an easy race to call with some interesting newcomers and those with experience looking closely matched. Essexvale is a first foal but her dam is a half-sister to multiple sprint winner Whitbarrow, while fellow debutants Hawfinch and Hidden Passion are related to all-weather winners. Represent disappointed last time but was beaten less than a length on her debut at Ascot, while Meloneras showed a big improvement when second at Ffos Las. LEMON ROCK just failed to catch the winner at Newmarket on her debut and with Ryan Moore taking over the reins, she's fancied to go one better here.
