Verdict

VIVAT REX has hit a rich vein of form and can shrug off a penalty. He scored at Chelmsford before dotting-up by seven lengths at Southwell last week. Silverheels went close in this grade at Lingfield earlier and can reverse running with the winner Loyalty on revised terms while City Of Angkor Wat won here again a week ago with Embankment behind but has a bit to find with the selection on running at Chelmsford. Aldeburgh has been in fine form over middle-distances while Ian's Memory is back handicapping after landing a maiden race at Southwell in January.
