In depth

Verdict

None of these inspire confidence and maiden hurdle winner Goldencard was well beaten under a penalty at Catterick last time. ELVIS MAIL never threatened when fourth at Ayr on his reappearance but should be sharper today and Neil Alexander’s charge has the scope to improve. Stablemate Ride The Lightning finished tailed off on his hurdling bow but is rated higher on the Flat than the likes of Captain Pugwash and Oriental Tiger while Alone No More also struggled on his first start over timber though has won a point-to-point on fast going and should finish closer today.
