In depth

Formwatch

D J Flippance (IRE) Third in a maiden hurdle on heavy ground has been his best effort; likely to find others better today.

Northern Motto He has been a long time in winning (over two years), and has yet to score a victory over the obstacles. Does have ability but may be lacking that winning quality.

Errol Glamohr Ran her best race penultimate start over similar distance, subsequent poor run at Carlisle due to shorter than ideal trip and never got a clear run. Looks to have improved this year and with everything in her favour she must go close.

Oriental Boy (IRE) Has not run for over a year, better form over fences; likely to go there next.

Lauderdale Showed very early promise on his debut start in a bumper last year, but has failed to follow that up.

Green Smoke Ran his best race penultimate start when second (15L beaten) to Indien Du Boulay, well beaten behind Rebel Son last time; steps up in trip today.

Yankee Jamie (IRE) Hard to fancy on any known form.

Harleyburn Well beaten and fell when 100/1 on his last three starts; unlikely to be much shorter today.

The Sea Club (IRE) Well behind Green Smoke at Perth, has not shown signs of improvement since.

Rhapsody In Blue (IRE) Third over this trip penultimate start; place chances at best.

Maid To Talk Pulled up C&D last time and her other form offers little more encouragement.

Lingham Bridesmaid Well beaten in five starts over various trip and ground; others preferred,

Carradium Impossible to fancy on all known form, flat or National Hunt.

New Development Has been finishing tailed off in selling hurdles; will need dramatic improvement to win today.

Willa Thyne (IRE) Having her first run for a year but all not form is not encouraging.
