Verdict

This is a pretty hot contest, despite the small field. Eureu Du Boulay found only one too good when on a hat-trick at Catterick while Dimple has won here over hurdles since scoring at Newcastle. Rock On Fruity came from nowhere to win at Newcastle so the slightly longer trip won’t be a problem and Beggar's Wishes, in good form in the first half of last year, is starting to come down the weights again. MOUNT MEWS has been moved to Donald McCain in the hope that he can finally fulfill his potential over fences. He hasn’t raced for 10 months but has a touch of class and may yet prove better than a handicapper.
