This is a poor contest in which Munnings Touch, a bumper winner at Fontwell last term, has solid claims of making a winning start to his hurdling career and Howard Johnson's gelding gets the vote to do just that, with the main dangers rated as Malech and Mayadeen. The last mentioned comes here fit from the flat and represents the in-form yard of Ian Semple so has to be respected on his return to hurdling, especially in this lowly grade. Neagh ran encouragingly on his first start for Nicky Richards but has disappointed since then so may be best watched now, while Coronado's Gold gave little sign of encouragement on his return to hurdling at Uttoxeter last month. Royal Game is inconsistent and of more interest may be Keith Reveley's Malech who ran better at Wetherby in a better race than this last time. This should not take much winning and a chance is taken with Munnings Touch on his hurdling debut.
