POINT THE WAY is the best of these over hurdles by quite some way. He hasn’t raced since March but should still be good enough in this company if taking to the larger obstacles on his return. Westend Theatre was placed at Hexham earlier this year and is is rated higher over fence than Here Comes Love but both have plenty to find on these terms with the chasing newcomers Robintheaulad and An Laoch with the former preferred of that pair.
An Laoch (IRE) 25-1 (10-12) In rear, pushed along after 3 out, in 5th before 2 out, soon weakened, 5th of 6, 28l behind The Doorman (11-5) at Sedgefield 2m 4f (4) gd in May.
Here Comes Love (IRE) 18-1 (10-9) Held up last, not fluent 2nd, 4th from 12th, outpaced 14th, plugged on, never any chance, 4th of 5, 31 1/4l behind Landmeafortune (11-12) at Perth 3m hcp (4) hvy in Sep.
Point The Way (IRE) 4-1fav (10-12) Tracked leader, challenged 5th, led after 4 out, lost place when not fluent 3 out or 2 out, plugged on flat, 5th of 8, 6 3/4l behind Bryden Boy (10-13) at Doncaster 3m hcp (2) sft in Mar.
