tracked leader, led 2 out, soon ridden, stayed on well
held up in touch, headway 3 out, chased winner approaching last, every chance flat, no extra towards finish
led, headed 4th, remained close up, ridden 3 out, outpaced next
behind, lost touch halfway, tailed off and pulled up before 2 out
pulled hard in rear, headway after 1st, led next, headed 2 out, soon ridden, one-paced flat
in touch, jumped left 3rd, soon close up, dropped rear next, weakened halfway, tailed off and pulled up before 2 out
This should concern just the two runners, Monkerhostin and Flame Creek. The former has been kept busy, but probably turned in his best effort to date, when close up in the valuable Swinton hurdle. If he can reproduce that he is sure to take all the beating. In contrast, Flame Creek has been handled with kid gloves, but has shown a fair level of form. If he is fit, he will prove a tough nut to crack.
