Verdict

Doyen Du Bar looked above average when making a winning debut at Carlisle over a year ago but hasn’t raced since and is penalised on his return. SPECTACULAR GENIUS is preferred having debuted under Rules with a second at Doncaster in February and Donald McCain’s yard remains in fine form. The others with experience make no appeal but Rocky Hill is a half-brother to a bumper winner and Maughold Head is another newcomer to note.
