Verdict
Accidental Rebel hasn’t raced since stepping out of handicap company to land the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow in October and he has to give his rivals 5lb here. Nemean Lion was ahead of Colonel Harry when third in the Tolworth at Sandown but the step up in trip is a bit of an unknown. Carcaci Castle will need to up his game if he is to complete a hat-trick of course victories but General Officer has run well in defeat since completing a Musselburgh double. SNAKE ROLL went off too quickly on heavy going last time at Warwick and was eased in the closing stages. He could take some pegging back over this shorter trip if more amenable to restraint today, though it’s very interesting that Emmet Mullins has chosen a race like this for Feronily to make his debut over timber.
