Rhyton hasn't displayed much in two starts over hurdles and although from a respected trainer and having won on the flat he is hard to back with any confidence. The market may provide the best guide to Maison Brillet who has won two flat races, with Henry Havelock less interesting having shown little prior to this race. Capricornus was previously with Mark Johnston and has some good flat experiences to draw upon in a first start over timber. If translating his flat ability to jumps then he stands a very realistic chance, although the uphill finish for one untested over this trip is a slight concern. TURF TRIVIA is the selection having won well in a similar race at Cartmel on debut over jumps. Although facing 7lb extra due to the conditions of the race he offers the most appeal.
