        Verdict

        ARCH GOLD came here a fortnight ago and landed a 1m2f handicap in smooth style. He had won a better race at Meydan in December and looks set to complete a double. Though he was a long way behind today's rival Tafaakhor over the track and trip in November that was his first start since February and he's much fitter now. Tailor's Row is in the form of his life, completing a course and distance double before finding a hike in the weights beyond him two weeks ago but he remains a threat. Majestic Thunder was behind the latter here last month but had earlier won well over the course and distance so probably wasn't at his best. Cherkes Pharoah won here in 2018 but had a very long break before placed twice in Oman.
