Verdict

A potentially-informative contest. Tequila Blaze was still in front when falling at the last at Bangor having won earlier at Newton Abbot. Trapista wasn’t beaten far by a smart performer on her only run on the Flat in France and won over hurdles at Angers in March. Call The Fairies placed four times in Ireland and on her UK debut at Sedgefield but we like the look of FLAT WHITE upped in trip and reunited with Bryony Frost as Lucy Wadham’s four-year-old has shown real promise in both hurdle runs to date. Brilliant Present is almost certainly better than she showed at Warwick and Pop The Champagne is another likely improver. Bumper winner Eavesdropping, newcomer Giulietta and Puffin Bay, just beaten at Exeter, are others to consider along with French import Houka D'oudairies.
