In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this novices hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Wilfred, Hoh Nelson and Moorlaw and the confident vote goes to Wilfred. The selection won well last time out when defeating Prairie Sun and although he has a penalty for that win he has again has conditions to suit and in a poor affair he is impossible to oppose. Hoh Nelson is from a yard that can ready a hurdling debutante so is worth noting in the market but he needed a trip on the flat and he will probably need a longer trip over hurdles to be seen to better effect. Moorlaw is another that could go well as he is from a top yard but he showed virtually nothing on his debut behind Fire Dragon on his debut so he can not be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder Canni Thinkaar showed a modicum of ability on the flat and if he sees out the trip he would have definite place claims, put in poor race for the winner we return to Wilfred.
