HAVANA BEAT was placed in all three starts over hurdles last summer and that’s the strongest form on offer. He has a couple of outings on the all-weather under his belt so far this year and makes most appeal of these. Mahari posted a better effort when third at Chepstow back in November and could go well but Royal Marskell failed to to show any improvement at Plumpton having placed on his earlier debut over hurdles. Thistimenextyear may settle better today than his did at Warwick when falling on his hurdling bow and Max Liebermann returns to the obstacles having won a bumper on the all-weather track at Southwell.
