Verdict

BRUNSTON was a decent handicapper on the Flat and got off the mark over hurdles at the third time of asking when beating Cygnet by three-parts-of-a-length at Uttoxeter last month. The runner-up franked the form next time and Nicky Henderson's charge will surely be good enough to defy his penalty here. It took Captain Sully 10 attempts to break his duck but that form has also been franked. He possibly lacks the scope of newcomer Fashionable Gal, however, who beat Kidlat on the all-weather at Lingfield last month and is lightly-raced. Lombok, Sunny Spells and Peadar Miguel are also winners from the Flat in a novice event that is probably a bit better than it first appears.
