In depth

Verdict

Brandon Thomas appeared to relish a slog through the mud at Plumpton and probably still isn't badly handicapped, despite carrying a penalty. He looks the danger to MOONLIGHT MAGGIE, much improved on just her second start over fences when only beaten a head by a more experienced rival at Catterick. She has another 6lb to carry here but can find the necessary to make it third-time lucky. It's difficult to take much encouragement from the recent form of the others, though Mallusk and Amaury De Lusignan are starting to look very well treated.
