In depth

Formwatch

Arctic Challenge (IRE) Lightly raced but fairly stiff task on handicap debut. Fair form though and may go well in this better ground.

Barrigan's Hill (IRE) Ex-Irish, won a poor race on first start here but had a fair bit in hand and could easily improve, especially over this further trip.

Ehtefaal (USA) Not run for a long time and likely to need this.

Jan's Dream (IRE) Lightly raced but sole win came on heavy ground and is not certain to stay the trip here.

Mystic Hill Off the track for a while and although reasonably treated he will probably need the run.

Bauble Pulled up on only start this term, on desperate ground. Today's conditions will be better and he has a chance on last year's form.

Big Atoll (NZ) Pulled up on only start for current connections and is probably best watched for now.

Mister Ermyn Last run was on very bad ground but fairly treated on earlier second at Cheltenham and definitely one for the shortlist here.

Pendant Reasonably treated and will like this ground, but has been off for a while so fitness has to be a doubt.

General Flight Disappointed last time after an encouraging reappearance, and not certain to see out the trip.

Cassio's Boy Moderate sort but wins his share. Poor form on heavy ground recently but chance on some earlier form and th eblinkers are reapplied today, so can't rule him out totally.

Daring News Has not run for nearly two years and this looks a big task on his return to action.

Zahaalie (USA) Won a por seller in November but limitations have been exposed since then.

Fountain Bank (IRE) Point-to-point winner but wasn't up to much a couple of years ago under rules.

Gallion's Reach (IRE) Improved evvort to win at Haydock last time, and if able to reproduce on this faster ground he should come into the reckoning.

Tremendisto Another returning from a lengthy absence and has shown signs of temperament in the past.

King Cool (IRE) Didn't enjoy the heavy conditions last time but is better than that and has an outsider's chance of reaching the frame at least.

Young Tycoon (NZ) No form since springing a shock win at Wincanton last season, and hard to fancy on latest evidence.

Benefit Trip and ground will suit today and on a fair mark so this consistent performer seems sure to go close.

Frankie Willow (IRE) Ex-Irish with little form since moving over here.
