    In depth

    Verdict

RYDE BACK gets the nod in the opener and she is taken to prevail over Asturienne and Naughty Naughty. Nicky Henderson is in red hot form right now and Ryde Back makes plenty of appeal. She won a bumper at this track when last seen out in March and she looks as though she should shape into a decent hurdler. She is upped in trip which will also be a plus for her and she looks the one to beat. Asturienne made a winning debut over hurdles last month when she won in emphatic fashion. She clearly has plenty of ability and she has to be respected. Naughty Naughty finished well behind Asturienne in that race but on these terms Brendan Powell's filly should be much more competitive. My Rebecca shaped with a bit of promise in a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbott back in April and if she can improve on her seasonal return then she is not without hope. This looks a good opportunity for Ryde Back who gets our pick.
