Calva D'honore won a Southwell bumper on his debut and made a bright start over timber when runner-up here in November but he hasn't done as well as expected in subsequent starts. Christmas In April was also a winner on his bumper debut and showed enough over hurdles at Newbury on New Year's Eve to suggest he'll be winning soon. Coyoacan has run in three bumpers but jumping will be his game and this isn't the toughest of starts despite a big field. Putting Green, a dual Flat winner, wasn't suited by heavy ground at Uttoxeter last time though has had plenty of opportunities. Ian Williams has been amongst the winners and SO CELEBRE can keep up the good work. The four-year-old has made mistakes in his two starts over timber but the latest was in a better race than this and he can make use of the age allowance.
