Not a particularly inspiring finale here and one that can be taken by Nameless Wonder. The Nicky Henderson-trained gelding ran well for a long way before tiring up the hill at Cheltenham in a much better contest than this in November. He then put in another good effort when not beaten far into fourth at Wincanton last time. The yard are still in good form and his trainer looks to have found him an opportunity to break his maiden tag here. Perhaps his biggest threat will come from Camdenation. Josh Gifford's horses have also been in form just lately and this gelding has been one of them, running well in placed efforts on soft surfaces. He should again go well, though has plenty of weight to carry, and that could well be his undoing here. Big Quick has not been seen since running at Newton Abbot in June. He has run well with cut in the ground in the past, but might just need this run. Rudolf Rassendyll is more interesting. Surprisingly for one trained by Venetia Williams, the gelding has yet to make the frame from three starts over hurdles. This is his first time in a handicap and he doesn't look to have been done any favours by the weights, so he stil has plenty to prove. the same can be said of River Trix. Back over hurdles after some indifferent efforts over fences, his last run was best forgotten. He does has form on soft ground, but has plenty on his plate off this mark. Noel Chance runs Gunnerbe Posh, who is another to have posed more questions than he has provided answers so far. Not seen out for almost a year, if he is fit first time his canny trainer could produce a good performance from him. The market is likely to be a good guide here, as is the case for Ferdy Murphy's runner, Salt Hill King.
