Regarde needed all of the 3m trip to make a winning debut over fences around here and will have to jump better if he is score over this much shorter distance. Abingworth won over hurdles but was tailed off on his fencing bow while Erigmoor was pulled up over 2m here last month. CARPE DIEM is a half-brother to two winning chasers and ran only three times over hurdles. He has the potential to be much better over the larger obstacles.
