Verdict

GO AMWELL won this a year ago when Pheidias was beaten 6l and though the latter has been in much better form subsequently it would be no great shock to see the winner bounce back and he's given the nod. The ability of Call It On to stay the trip has to be taken on trust as this is by far the furthest he's been asked to go and though winning point-to-pointer Vintage Kid will have no problems staying his form so far over timber has been poor. Carmela Maria won over this trip at Catterick in December so she's one to consider while Lady From Geneva has hinted at landing a race of this nature.
