Dormy Two gets a narrow vote over Szeroki Bor, with Irene Kate and Alaared best of the rest. This is not an event to get too worked up about but Dormy Two may be worth a small investment to improve upon her fair third to Fortune Point at Wetherby 12 days ago. John Wainwright's filly showed a modicum of ability in staying events on the Flat over the past couple of months and the extra trip here should be in her favour. Szeroki Bor was a prolific winner on the Flat in Poland, and although yet to open his account in six outings on these shores, has been placed twice, at Folkestone and Plumpton. The ability is there and he will no doubt unleash it soon but on this occasion is worth taking on. Irene Kate will no doubt be going over fences in due course but is sure to have been well schooled for her debut over timber. She is one for the future but could be better than all of these in time, while Alaared should really have done better than he has, having scored in maiden company at Newmarket last August. He seems to have lost his way though, and we shall stick with Dormy Two who is more likely to stay the trip.
