RED HAMMER was sent off favourite on his hurdling debut at Ludlow in October but only managed a well-beaten third. However, the winner has landed a Grade 2 since and the fourth won next time so the form is better than it looked at the time and he should have improved in the interim. Star Foot is rated 122 but has had plenty of chances and hasn't raced since November. Centurius and Deadly Approach have the more recent form while Toviere is jumps-bred so seems sure to appreciate the switch to hurdles after two runs in bumpers.
