In depth

Verdict

Marada was sent off at 66/1 when belying those odds to run a cracking third in a Listed bumper here in early December under Bridget Andrews. Harry Skelton takes over now and the Martaline mare has an obvious claim if repeating that level. However, COQUELICOT has posted three attractive bumper performances and was never in danger the last day at Taunton. She receives a handy 3lb allowance, is clearly going the right way and seems sure to go well. It would be dangerous to ignore interesting newcomers too, notably Nicky Henderson's Indian Glory, Olly Murphy's Allavina, Fergal O'Brien's Genial Hawkstone and French raider, Dionette. Saucy Pet is also noted.
