In depth

Verdict

ARQOOB (NAP) was second over track and trip on his hurdling debut and far from disgraced in a better race at Newbury last month. He is the clear form pick in this though improvement is expected from Aristobulus, who beat a subsequent hurdles winner on Tapeta before finishing third on his own hurdles debut. Baikal will have stamina to prove on her debut over timber but Rhodia has hinted at ability. Boreen Boy is penalised for a win at Uttoxeter last year but is back over his best trip.
