In depth

Verdict

Fieldsofclover gets our nomination here over Alfie's Sun and Olival. The selection has a penalty for his recent success when he beat Presenting Alf but he won in such convincing fashion that he may be up to defying the rise in the weights. Alfie's Sun is a course and distance winner and he is in good heart having scored at Wincantion last time when beating Liberty Ben. He only won by a neck that day but he was good value for that winning margin and he is entitled to get competitive today. Olival would have claims on the pick of his form but he is best with cut in the ground and is taken on. Master T has the ability to win this and he has won over the course and distance before so he could go well at a price, but Fieldsofclover was an easy winner last time and he has outstanding claims today.
