UBALDO DES MENHEIS was only beaten half-a-length by Supreme Asset at Kelso last time having chased home the useful Pine Creek at Doncaster earlier when the front two finished well clear. The Fakenham winner may be good enough to give the weight to Springinherstep, who was beaten when sent off a hot favourite on her hurdling debut at Towcester in November and hasn't been seen since. Scorer was market leader in a Warwick bumper in January but looked as though he needed more time. He's probably best watched making his hurdling bow today, though could still sneak into a place.
