In depth

Verdict

A field large in numbers but low in quality. Super Sammy is the suggestion. She was a fair second behind Vicars Destiny last time out under similar conditions, and despite top weigh she is taken to score with Gino Carenza taking off a handy five pounds. Lady Lap Dancer would be the main danger on her best form but she was disappointing last time out and the form of the Mary Reveley yard still gives cause for concern. Smiths Landing has definite place claims on his best form, but he gives the impression he will be seen to even better effect over a longer trip. Natural would also be worthy of consideration on his best form, but his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Just Sal won well at this course last time out but that was over a shorter trip on heavy ground. Of the remainder Touch Closer is from a shrewd yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
