Verdict

A field large on numbers but low in quality but we will take a chance on Great As Gold. The gelding from the Bob Woodhouse yard was a good third behind Man O Mystery last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Bodfari Creek was a good second behind Lunar Crystal a couple of runs ago but he has since had a heavy fall if his confidence has not been effected he will not be far away. Vidi Ceaser is another that could go well as he was a fair third behind Marrell last time out under similar conditions. Of the remainder the booking of Tony Dobbin for What If catches the eye and he is worth a cautionary look in the market. The rest need to improve markedly on there latest efforts to take a hand in the finish.
