Verdict

Lord Wishes won over fences at Cartmel but last won over hurdles over this track and trip in 2016. Melody Of Scotland steps up a grade off an 11lb higher mark after scoring over course and distance at the start of the month. Desert Island Dusk usually runs well here but Raising The Bar has disappointed so far. MORRAMAN appeared to be travelling best off the home turn at Cartmel but couldn’t match the pace of winner Becky The Thatcher in the closing stages. That form has been franked and this stiffer track may be in his favour so he gets the nod with Abbie McCain taking off 5lb again.
