In depth

Verdict

Classic Escape hasn’t won for a while but is well treated as a result and this is a bit easier than his previous runs over hurdles this season. Torngat ran better than the final result suggests at Carlisle last month but TARTAN COOKIE and Moonacura will probably fight out the finish. Ewan Whillans’ charge recorded a first career victory at Newcastle last month by eight lengths and can defy a 6lb rise with the Uttoxeter third stepping up in trip and raised a pound.
