Dawn Ride has rediscovered the winning habit and is chasing a hat-trick after a couple of recent wins at Newcastle. He's still on a much lower mark than over fences and could easily land this with Joe Colliver taking off 7lb. Markadam won very easily over 2m4f at Carlisle last week and is well worth a try over this longer trip while Seymour Eric produced his best run so far over 3m at Ffos Las in January and is a rare runner here for Michael Scudamore. TARTAN TIGER was the subject of a gamble at Sedgefield in December but never looked likely to get into contention. However, he was noted staying on over 3m1f at Musselburgh next time and it could be he just needed a step up in distance - he gets a tentative vote here.
