Verdict

This is only a Class 5 but it is quite competitive. CUDGEL beat subsequent winner Hidden Cargo on his first run since wind surgery and may be capable of further improvement. The Lion Dancer has improved lately and is one of several potential dangers on a list which also includes Real Armani, who goes well here and has his ground again, as well as Tumbling Dice, who beat Hidden Cargo at Catterick two runs ago and was still in front there last time when coming to grief. Without Conviction also has a squeak.
