In depth

Verdict

Winning pointer One For Arthur has had three runs under Rules and been placed in each. But he's starting to look a little one-paced and may need a step up to 3m to get off the mark. ZERMATT only managed one run after winning a bumper here in April of last year. That was more than 12 months ago in a novice hurdle at Wetherby won by the smart Oscar Rock but his trainer is more than capable of getting his charges ready at home and the Strategic Prince gelding can come good today. Special Wells started favourite at Kelso on his hurdles bow on the back of a couple of fair runs in bumpers but weakened on the turn for home and may need more time.
