        Verdict

        The vote here goes to Somedo Somedont ahead of Ballyhale and Act Gold. Act Gold has hinted at ability; a repeat of Ballyhale's best piece of recent form, which came at Catterick on good to soft in December, would give him fair hopes, and North Island's second to That's Rhythm at Sedgefield last time gives him hopes of a placing. All this said, Somedo Somedont only needs to run to the level of form of all bar his latest start, which came on soft going here, to register a first win. As such, he has to be the selection.
