This is not a particularly strong contest in terms of quality but it is certainly competitive and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Lucinda Russell's BALLYNURE, who has been running consistently well of late and should appreciate the return to faster ground having disappointed on a softer surface last time, and he is preferred to Onthegoagain and Ben Tirran. Peter Niven's gelding was four lengths in front when falling four out here last time and he has to be respected off his low mark. Don McCain's Wizards Dust has slipped to a fair mark and is now 4lbs lower than when last successful at Catterick in December so he has to be considered, while Chapel Flowers is less exposed than most of these but remains a maiden after nine starts. Sue Bradburne's Seek The Truth could probably do with some help from the handicapper and a bigger threat may come from Onthegoagain. James Lambe's gelding has shown winning form in point-to-points so does have ability and may do better now switched to fences. Preference though is for Ballynure now that he has his favoured fast ground again.
