In depth

Verdict

ROBERT WALPOLE was far too keen in the race won by Sea The Clouds at Newton Abbot and paid the price in the closing stages. However, he’s open to plenty of improvement and so is Bangor fourth Thunder Flash, though the latter has ground to make up on Stroll On By. Kingston Sunflower hasn’t seen a rival in her last two starts and was a long way ahead of Escobedo at Huntingdon but a double penalty and stiffer track are a worry here. The Scorpion King showed promise in bumpers last season while Bertie B won in that sphere at Bangor in the spring.
