In depth

Verdict

FLOREAT is a half-brother to a couple of decent bumper winners and wouldn't need to be anything special to make a successful debut. He gets the nod ahead of fellow newcomers Private Eyes and Midnight Oscar. Courting Whitney disappointed at Chepstow last month but could be the pick of those with experience on her debut fourth at Worcester, though it's significant that Richard Johnson has opted to ride David Evans' well-connected debutante Ina Point instead.
