In depth

Verdict

Carl Llewellyn has a great record in bumpers and Fanmail can add to this season's tally, Team Chaser and Brother Oscar look to be the main rivals. The selection is a well bred son of Luso who was bought for 38 thousand Euros as a three-year-old. He will no doubt know his job first time out and he looks the one to be on. Team Chaser and Brother Oscar are both point to point winners and hail from very shrewd yards. The market will give clues as regards their relative chances. Jaunty Journey is another with a nice pedigree being a son of Karinga Bay. His progeny tend to do well in this spere and he should be given a cautionary look in the betting. However the form of the stable and the owner steer us back to Fanmail as the main contender.
