Those at the top of the weights look the ones to concentrate on and Solo Dancer may be the value to beat Tirikumba, Rose Tina and Bonnie Flora. All four have shown enough to make them serious candidates ahead of the rest here, but with Lucy Bridges able to claim a seven-pound allowance, Solo Dancer may step up on her recent close second to Bonnie Flora at Exeter. She was never going to beat that rival but the slightly longer trip here should help, and whereas Richard Young, claiming five, rode the winner that day, Joe Tizzard cannot offer the same reduction here, so that gives Solo Dancer a bit more of a chance. Tirikumba has yet to add to her Ludlow bumper victory gained two years ago and has it to do off topweight, while Rose Tina, a beaten favourite last time, has let us down in the past. Of the rest, Lady Ward perhaps has more to offer in future, but in a tricky contest, Solo Dancer is the pick to small stakes.
