Shellin Hill was a good winner at Southwell, prior to falling at Hereford in a better race and he is taken to bounce back to form with conditions again in his favour despite the fact that he is creeping up in the weights. Keaneo won a selling handicap chase in good style at Hereford last time out but he will find this tougher under his penalty in what looks a more competitive race. Benson has some of the best form to his name in the context of this race but he has a 532 day absence to overcome. Iro Origny would also go close on his best form but he has been disappointing since his return from injury. On The Run was a well backed favourite when an early casualty last time out and this looks a stronger race.Bold Hunter was a fair third behind The Newsman last time out under similar conditions and he would have been closer but for a mistake two out on that occasion. The remainder look exposed but if there was further rain and Almapa was on a going day he to could play a hand in the finish.
