Shantou Vow took advantage of heavy ground to win comfortably over the minimum at Southwell and though penalised and up in trip looks certain to get into contention. ELLEON showed real battling qualities in a heavy-ground Uttoxeter bumper when rallying to lead on the post after being headed in the latter stages. He should be a nice jumping prospect so gets the nod though Venetia Williams' recruit from France Funambule Sivola is interesting having shown plenty of potential in his two starts. Full Of Roque hasn't done as well as expected since arriving from point-to-points, a remark that also applies to Normandy Soldier.
