Verdict

Knight Commander appeared to run out of stamina over 3m last time so the drop back in trip should help Sheila Lewis’ charge. Project Mars won over a slightly shorter trip here last season and his stable have made a strong start to the campaign. Arty Campbell was a winner on this card 12 months ago so should be thereabouts again and Flat winner Magic Shuffle isn’t overburdened making his handicap debut over hurdles. MEMPHIS BLEEK is 0-14 and never threatened the first two when third at Warwick but was staying on best of the rest so is worth a try over the extra distance.
