In depth

Verdict

Impek was a very good hurdler and created a good impression on his chase debut when easily defeating La Landiere he jumped well on that occasion and will be hard to beat but he will find the concession of 12 pounds to Vol Solitaire who won the Welsh Champion Hurdle last year very difficult. The four-year-old also made a pleasing debut over fences when defeating Sir Storm by nine lengths and he is just preferred with the weight advantage in his favour. Palarshan also showed ability over hurdles but not up to the grade of Impek and Vol Solitaire and his best form is on fast ground. Indian Venture also has plenty of ability but again does not look as good as the principals. Bronzesmith looks out of his depth.
