Verdict

Buster Edwards was beaten but far from disgraced when on a hat-trick racing off this mark at Warwick. He’s a thorough stayer who should be thereabouts again. Oscar Asche started favourite for a handicap at Ludlow last month after winning his maiden but only managed fourth but Royal Claret showed he had dropped to fair mark when second at Carlisle and he’s won here in the past. JUGE ET PARTI was market leader in this race 12 months ago. He only finished sixth and races off the same mark but Brodie Hampson’s claim should help the top weight this year.
