In depth

Verdict

Ludlow second Cool Hand Luke appears to be improving with experience but VASCO DU RONCERAY has joined the Nicky Henderson yard since winning a bumper in the French provinces in August and he has a jumping pedigree. The grey can make a winning start over hurdles in a race that lacks strength in depth. Neither Bells Of Berlin nor Cash Injection were up to much on the Flat so Mexican Wave may be the pick of the remainder despite being well beaten on his hurdling debut at Stratford.
